How do I know if it’s rot or just peeling paint?

Press it. Sound wood pushes back; rot gives, flakes, or crumbles. Probe the bottom edges of fascia and trim after a rainy week — that’s where it starts. Send us a photo and a thumb-test report and we’ll tell you what you’re looking at.

Can you match my existing trim profiles?

Standard profiles, yes; custom historic ones, usually — we mill or source the closest match and place transitions where they’re least visible. What we won’t do is caulk over failed wood and call it matched.

Is pressure-treated lumber the answer everywhere?

No — it’s the answer where wood meets water and weather, and the wrong look for finished trim. We use rot-resistant and primed material where each belongs and flash the details so the species matters less than the water never arriving.
