A 1,500 square-foot roof sheds nearly a thousand gallons in an inch of rain. That water has to travel from shingle to gutter to downspout to somewhere that isn’t against your house — and a failure at any link sends it where it does damage. We service the whole chain, which is why our gutter calls end differently than the ones that stop at the downspout.

Re-hanging and re-pitching sagging runs, sealing seams and end caps, resizing undersized outlets, and repairing crushed or separated downspouts — the point failures that make a good system act like a broken one. Discharge and Grade: Where the Water Lands

A downspout that dumps at the foundation just relocates the problem to your basement’s doorstep. We extend and route discharge away from the house, set splash blocks where they actually help, and flag grading that slopes water back toward the foundation. In our freeze-thaw winters, water against the house becomes ice against the house — and ice moves foundations.

Crawlspace and Foundation Symptoms

Musty crawlspaces, damp foundation walls, and mud where mulch used to be are usually drainage stories, not plumbing ones. We trace the water to its entry, fix the roofline contribution, and tell you honestly when the remaining problem belongs to a grading or waterproofing contractor rather than us. Diagnosis you can trust beats a service sold you didn’t need.

Common Questions

How far should downspouts discharge from the house?

Four to six feet minimum, farther on flat ground or heavy clay. If you can see water pooling within arm’s reach of the foundation after rain, the discharge isn’t doing its job — extensions are one of the cheapest fixes in this trade.

Do gutter guards solve all this?

Guards keep debris out of good gutters — they don’t fix pitch, seams, or discharge, and cheap ones create their own problems. We install guards where they earn their cost and skip them where they don’t.

My crawlspace is wet but my gutters look fine. Now what?

Looking fine from the ground and working in a storm are different things. We check the system running when possible, then the discharge and grade. If the roofline checks out completely, we’ll point you toward the right trade instead of inventing work.
