The County

Estill County lines up along the Kentucky River, with the twin towns of Irvine and Ravenna at its heart. Irvine is the courthouse town; Ravenna grew up next door as a railroad town, and its compact grid of early-1900s houses still shows it. For us, Estill is main-road territory: KY-52 through Irvine is the route we drive between Beattyville and the Richmond side of our range, which means an Estill County call folds into roads we’re on most weeks anyway. Beattyville to Irvine is a direct shot on KY-52, no mountain crossings, one of the easiest runs in our territory. Ravenna adds a few minutes. That makes Estill County reliable for scheduled work and realistic for urgent calls: an active leak in Irvine can usually see a tarp the same day weather allows. Town access is simple; the farm roads off the river are standard rural driving for us. As everywhere, text the photo first — old-roof problems in particular are often diagnosable from a good picture.

Is Ravenna covered, or just Irvine?

Both — Ravenna is minutes from Irvine and fully inside our normal Estill County coverage. Its railroad-era houses have some of the county’s most repair-worthy roofs, and we like working on them. Same free photo diagnosis, same crew, same honest repair-first approach either town.

My house is over a hundred years old. Do you replace or repair?

Repair first, always, if the roof structure is sound. Old houses often need flashing, valley, and decking work more than they need full replacement, and we’ll show you photos of exactly what we find. If replacement genuinely is the right call, we’ll say so plainly and explain why — no pressure either way.
